Our Athens-Limestone CEO class had the opportunity to visit Newby Farms and learn more about the important role agriculture plays in our local community!

Jerry Allen Newby shared valuable insights into the world of farming, including the vital role farmers play in our everyday lives, the challenges they face, and what it takes to run a successful farming operation. Our students also learned about the business side of agriculture, explored the technology used in modern farming, and got an up-close look at the machinery that helps keep the farm running.

One of the most interesting takeaways was learning how events and changes happening around the world can impact a local farm right here in our community!
