Our Athens-Limestone CEO class had the opportunity to visit Backyard Solutions in Athens, Alabama, and meet with Jessica and Marshall Daigre!

During our visit, we learned about the journey of Backyard Solutions and how the business grew from its beginnings into the company it is today. Jessica and her husband shared their experiences with starting and growing their business, giving our students a real-world look at the hard work, dedication, and determination it takes to build a successful company.

Students also learned about the different materials and products used to create playgrounds and recreational spaces. We gained insight into how businesses use quality materials, creativity, and thoughtful design to create safe and enjoyable spaces for children and communities.

This visit gave our students the opportunity to learn more about entrepreneurship, construction, product design, and the many different career paths that can come from owning and operating a business.
