A special thanks to Ramona Malone, Career Counselor with Athens City Schools who helped our CEO Young Professionals take a deeper look at Professional Communication and what it really looks like in the workplace!

Mrs. Malone brought the lesson to life with a hands-on activity where students were challenged to respond to real-world workplace scenarios, including handling a negative social media review, responding to an upset customer, and addressing challenging behavior from a co-owner. Students had to think on their feet and develop both verbal and written professional responses.

And the lesson on professional attire was one they won’t forget! Our presenter literally dressed the part—starting the presentation in holey jeans and gradually transitioning her outfit into a more professional look. It was a fun and memorable way to demonstrate how appearance can impact professional presence and first impressions.

Our students are learning that success in the workplace isn’t just about what you know—it’s also about how you communicate, how you respond to challenges, and how you present yourself.
